About Sacramento Gold FC

Sacramento Gold FC is an amateur soccer team based out of Sacramento, California. Founded in 2009, the Gold began play in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) (in the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid) in 2010. The Gold is currently a member of the NPSL West Region's Golden Gate Conference. Capital Christian High School's football stadium serves as the current home field for the Gold.


Sacramento's soccer history is full of champions, and the Gold is no exception. In its inaugural season, the Gold compiled a record of 7-2-1, good enough for the top spot in the Northwest Division. Four wins later, the Gold brought home another title for Sacramento, claiming the 2010 NPSL National Championship in its first year of existence.


With a roster chock full of home-grown players, as well as local ownership, front office, and volunteers from all parts of the Sacramento community, Sacramento Gold FC is truly a team built by, composed of, and cheered for by the Sacramento faithful. Sacramento Gold FC prides itself in showcasing the local area's soccer talent.


Sacramento Gold FC is not only about providing high quality on and off the field, but also providing a pathway to the pros for local talent. In the few years of the club's existence, several former Gold players have found success in intercollegiate athletics, as well as in the professional ranks of Major League Soccer (MLS) and the United Soccer League (USL).
