Gold is defeated (4-1) by Chattanooga FC in the National Semi final game.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- The Gold travelled to Chattanooga Friday night and battled flight delays and other unexpected events before losing to Chattanooga FC on Saturday, evening July 26th, 4-1. Manolo Piña was injured and didn’t travel. Ernie Carranza hurt his ankle the night before the Gold departed. Diego DeAlba, at the last minute, did not make the trip. That’s three starters out. The Gold played well, despite fatigue and attrition. We actually scored the first goal, a 40 yarder by Jason Jones. There were long periods where we dominated play. Chattanooga last 2 goals were scored after the Gold threw everyone up top to try to equalize. It was a tough end to a great season.
