2016 Schedule Released

Sacramento Gold FC has released its 2016 regular season schedule, featuring seven games at the club's home stadium at Capital Christian High School. The Gold will start the season at home on Saturday, March 19 against Real San Jose.

The 14-game schedule will see Sacramento face each of its four Golden Gate Conference opponents three times. The Gold will play both the rival Sonoma County Sol and the newly-rebranded East Bay Stompers twice on the road and once at home. Conversely, Sacramento will play both the first game opponent Real San Jose and 2015 West Region winners CD Aguiluchos USA twice at home and once on the road.

The Gold will also play the two members of the NPSL's Northwest Conference once again. In its one scheduled Friday game of the season, Sacramento will host OSA FC (formerly FC Tacoma 253) on May 20. The Gold will later make its third ever trip to the Rose City when it travels to face the Portland Spartans on Saturday, June 18.

In addition, Sacramento Gold FC will take part in the 2016 U.S. Open Cup. The first round of the tournament (and the Gold's first game) is scheduled for Wednesday, May 11. The time, location, and opponent have all yet to be determined. Any further games would also take place on Wednesdays. The first round schedule will be released mid-April.
