Gold Adds Armbrust Brothers to Roster

Sacramento Gold FC has added forwards Kaleb and Keenan Armbrust to its roster for the 2016 NPSL season.

Keenan Armbrust is well familiar with the Gold's home field at Capital Christian High School, having spent four years playing for the Cougars. He followed those up with four more stellar years at Azusa Pacific University. Armbrust led the team with six goals and was named to the Second Team All-PacWest Conference squad his junior year, to go with the school's conference championship.

Kaleb Armbrust followed his brother two years later -- both to Capital Christian and Azusa Pacific. His freshman year (the school's first year at the NCAA Division II level), the Cougars captured the PacWest Conference title, in no small part due to Armbrust's offense. He scored three goals and tallied five assists, earning PacWest Freshman of the Week honors with a three-point effort against Dominican.

Both Armbrust brothers made their Gold debut in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Sonoma County Sol. Keenan assisted on Sacramento's second goal.
